I grew up in London and graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Honours) Degree from Oxford Brookes University. I gained my postgraduate RSA Certificate for Specific Learning Difficulties at University College London. This enabled me to work as a specialist teacher.
I then completed the OCR Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties at Fairley House School, London, which has accorded me specialist assessor status.
I started my teaching career in the state sector as an early years primary teacher. I have worked at King Alfred School, London for the past twenty five years as a class teacher, specialist teacher and as part of the 4+ Reception entry team. I currently teach in the lower school on a part-time basis in the Learning Support department.
I hold the Teacher Practising Certificate and have full membership with The Professional Association for Teachers and Assessors of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (www.patoss-dyslexia.org). I hold active AMBDA status through the British Dyslexia Association (www.bdadyslexia.org.uk). I am also a member of the National Handwriting Association (www.nha-handwriting.org.uk).
My private practice is based in Hampstead, London NW3.
